On Sunday, Julia was officially 2 months old! It is hard to believe, but time is flying by. She started daycare, had her 2 month doctors appointment and has driven Daddy crazy with her "irrational crying"!!
Daycare--We chose a daycare that was highly recommended by my Vice Principal. We get along great and have similar personalities so his recommendation meant a lot. We were able to take her for just a few hours on Thursday and Friday of the week that we got home from Connecticut. I wanted her to go just so she could start to get used to it and so that I would have some time to go to my office to get it straight for when sports started. She did fine. So last week she was there pretty much all day every day. I had two-a-day practices, so Daddy had to take her to daycare and pick her up! Daddy didn't realize how long it was going to take to get himself ready and to get Julia ready! By the time he got his routine figured out, I was back to just afternoon practices, so I was able to take her in the morning! Now, I take her in at about 9 and Andy picks her up a little after 5. I usually get off of work around 7, so Andy has a few hours with her before I get home. I have only gotten one frantic "I can't handle this anymore" phone call from him! One afternoon he called and said, "she won't stop crying. I hold her and she cries, I put her on her mat and she cries. We dance and she cries...I can't handle it anymore!" So I tried to talk him off of the ledge and by the time I was able to get out of work, he was feeding her and they were both ok! I tried to explain to him that the evening is her fussy time and sometimes she just cries for no reason, to which he replied...Well she has to understand that it is my fussy time too!!! But I think they are starting to get things together! I think I have spoiled her by holding her a lot and Andy tries to put her down and she doesn't like it! I think that is the big problem! Oh well...I will continue to hold her! I can't help it...she is a snuggle bug!!
Doctor Appointment--I took her yesterday for her 2 month check up. She was wonderful in the doctors office. She was smiling and talking and generally happy...until the shots!! Even the doctor was playing with her and saying how good she was. She is 23 1/4" long and 11lbs 6 oz. I guess she is in the 75th percentile for both. She still has a little bit of thrush on her tongue that re-appeared, so we got more medicine for that. This girl has been on more medication since she has been born! Anyway, she was happy until those shots. She got 5 shots in her legs and one thing by mouth. She cried for a little bit, but had collected herself by the time we left. At daycare I guess she was fussy and irritable and not really herself, but I can't really blame her. I would be fussy and irritable if I had gotten 5 shots too! By the evening, she was starting to come out of her funk and was smiling and playing a little more. She slept for about 8 1/2 hours last night, which was WONDERFUL!!! Hopefully she keeps that up!

If she made it 8 1/2 last night - she can do it again! Good Luck with that! Glad everything is well....
On another note - get hooked up online so we can play together!
oh and by the way court - your blogs are kicking ass in the funny department!
2 months! I can't believe it.
And ditto to Liz's comment...get online so you can us. Got a band name yet?
Don't worry guys - that daily evening crying will go away. Kristen did the same thing .. couldn't figure out why she would do it same time every day. You do feel like pulling your hair out sometimes.
